Family correspondents of Antun Vrančić (1504 – 1573): Biographical data and the location of manuscripts

“Based on the relevant literature and archival material, this paper gathers the biographical knowledge of the ten members of the family with whom the Croatian humanist and primas of Hungary Antun Vrančić (1504 – 1573) exchanged letters. Furthermore, the paper points to certain mismatches and mistakes found in the literature and offers, where possible, more precise solutions. In addition, there is a list of all the letters belonging to the corpus of the correspondence of the Vrančić family, and on the basis of the codicological and paleographic insight we present the data on the manuscript.”
