A part of the family tradition was also a concern for the education of gifted family members, thus before the age of ten Faust was received for education and upbringing by his uncle Antun Vrančić (1504 – 1573), brother of Faust’s father Mihovil, a humanist, distinguished diplomat, church prelate, primas of Hungary, king’s deputy and one of the most influential people of his time in the Kingdom of Hungary and Croatia.
